Log Cabin Republicans Announce Former U.S. Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer Joins Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Log Cabin Republicans today announced that former U.S. Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer has joined the organization's Board of Directors, bringing decades of experience in public service, business, and coalition building to the nation's largest Republican organization representing LGB conservatives and their allies.

"Throughout her career, Lori has demonstrated principled leadership, a commitment to expanding economic opportunity, and a willingness to bring people together to solve difficult challenges. Her experience and perspective will be invaluable as Log Cabin Republicans continue advancing freedom, equality, and conservative principles across the country."

Chavez-DeRemer most recently served as the 30th United States Secretary of Labor, where she focused on strengthening America's workforce, expanding economic opportunity, and promoting policies that support workers, employers, and families. Prior to her Cabinet service, she represented Oregon's 5th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives and served as mayor of Happy Valley, Oregon.
