The World Food Prize Foundation has been selected as a featured location in the newly released Monopoly: Des Moines Edition. Unveiled today at the official launch event, the iconic Norman E. Borlaug Hall of Laureates-headquartered in Iowa-will appear as one of the game's yellow properties, alongside other celebrated downtown landmarks, including the Iowa State Capitol and the Des Moines Farmers' Market. This distinction highlights the Hall's historic significance and the Foundation's central role in advancing global conversations about food security from its Iowa home.
The iconic Hasbro board game has been entertaining families for 90 years, and have made theme specific Monopoly boards for decades, from movies and sports to locations across the world.
The inclusion of the Foundation highlights its global impact in advancing food security, celebrating agricultural innovation and its historical connection to the city and state. Visitors to the Hall of Laureates can explore exhibits honoring the legacy of Dr. Borlaug and learn about the transformative work of World Food Prize Laureates from around the world.
