AIA Applauds House Passage of FY26 Defense Appropriations

Arlington, Va - Aerospace Industries Association President and CEO Eric Fanning today welcomed the passage of the House version of the fiscal year 2026 defense appropriations bill.

"On-time and sufficient appropriations for our national defense are essential to deterring our adversaries, equipping our military, and building our defense industrial base," Fanning said. "This critical vote sends a demand signal to industry to keep out-innovating and outpacing our adversaries. As threats persist, we remain concerned that the topline, although it matches the President's budget request, does not match the threat level. As Congress moves through the FY26 appropriations process, AIA urges increased funding for the defense topline to better meet our emerging national security needs. We look forward to continued engagement with Congress to enact this law before the fiscal year ends."
