A full-page advertisement appearing three times this week in the Des Moines Register, starting June 2nd, recognizes Iowa Representatives Randy Feenstra, Ashley Hinosn, Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn for leading the fight to pass year-round E15 legislation through the House of Representatives and their support for Iowa farmers, renewable fuel producers, and consumers. Sponsored jointly by Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) and the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA), the advertisement thanks the lawmakers for leading the charge to advance one of Iowa agriculture's top policy priorities.

"Securing passage of permanent, year-round access to E15 in the House is one of the most significant renewable fuels victories in the last decade," said IRFA Executive Director Monte Shaw. "Representatives Feenstra, Hinson, Miller-Meeks, and Nunn were instrumental in helping get this long-overdue policy through the House. Their leadership and persistence helped deliver a win for Iowa farmers, renewable fuel producers, fuel retailers, and consumers who deserve access to a lower-cost, American-made fuel option year-round. Now it's on to the Senate."

Enacting year-round E15 would provide certainty for Iowa farmers and renewable fuels producers while ensuring consumers have access to a lower-cost fuel option throughout the year. E15 would grow demand for Iowa-grown corn, supports jobs in rural communities, and strengthen American energy independence.

"Iowa's congressional delegation has continued to deliver for Iowa's corn growers, ethanol industry and drivers by supporting year-round E15 legislation," said ICGA President Mark Mueller, who farms in Waverly, Iowa. "We are committed to continuing the fight to get this legislation through the Senate and to the President's desk to be signed into law. American consumers deserve permanent access to a lower-cost, cleaner-burning fuel option that is grown right here at home by Iowa's corn growers."
