Alum Shoutout: Teacher of the Year Kayleigh Wolfe ’20

"You can't grow when you're comfortable." Those are words TLU alum Kayleigh Wolfe takes to heart, and they're part of her philosophy in her career as a teacher.

And Wolfe isn't just any teacher. TLU is excited to announce that the 2020 grad, who earned her BS in Elementary Education, was named a Seguin ISD Teacher of the Year! She teaches third grade math at Weinert Elementary School and is passionate about creating a classroom environment where students take ownership of their learning and feel confident in their abilities.

The award was presented at a banquet hosted by the Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce, and TLU President Dr. Debbie Cottrell was on hand to help celebrate, along with Division of Education Chair Dr. Donna Kubena, EdD Program Director Dr. Luigi Peñaranda, and Associate Vice President for Development Services Fonda Mathis.
