MINNEAPOLIS, APRIL 15, 2026 - The Lofton Hotel, an elevated lifestyle hotel located in the heart of central Minneapolis and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, today announced the opening of its Italian-inspired restaurant, Mezzo Mezzo.

Centrally located within the hotel's newly redesigned lobby, Mezzo Mezzo, Italian for "half and half," is the latest delight awaiting travelers and locals alike. Half coffee shop, half pizzeria and bar, Mezzo Mezzo is upscale yet approachable - making it the perfect spot to sip, savor, and socialize from day to night. Mezzo Mezzo will open on April 23.

Stepping inside Mezzo Mezzo, guests will find warm, natural tones and upscale furnishings, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere with both lounge and traditional dining-style seating. Mornings at Mezzo Mezzo begin with locally roasted Spyhouse coffee and a selection of pastries, including artisan-style donuts. This makes it convenient for those catching up with friends or grabbing coffee before the workday begins.

As the day progresses, the menu shifts to Roman-style pizza and sandwiches on house-made focaccia. The pizza menu includes traditional options such as margherita, and more inventive choices, including pork sausage pizza with pickled blueberries and fontina cheese, and a prosciutto pizza topped with blue cheese, pear, arugula, and spiced honey. Sandwich offerings include mortadella and mozzarella with house giardiniera and a chicken pesto salad sandwich with pine nuts, golden raisins, and pesto mayo. Mezzo Mezzo also offers starters, salads, and soups for lunch and dinner. In addition, guests can enjoy a selection of Italian gelato and rotating desserts, including Bomboloni and Budino. Dishes are prepared in-house or locally sourced, using only the freshest ingredients.

Italian inspiration flows from the culinary offerings to the bar, where specialty cocktails include Italian favorites like the Aperol Spritz and Hugo Spritz, as well as creative takes such as the signature Damn Good Italian Margarita. Prosecco is available on tap, adding a playful touch. The wine list is thoughtfully sourced from Italy, focusing on family-owned vineyards that practice sustainable farming. In addition to alcoholic offerings, the bar offers Italian sodas, creative mocktails, and N/A beer and wine.
