Saint Francis University Expands Academic Portfolio to Meet Evolving Workforce Demands for 2026-2027

Saint Francis University is expanding its academic portfolio this fall with new programs that directly address workforce demand in engineering, business, technology, healthcare, aviation, and artificial intelligence while advancing its Catholic, Franciscan commitment to ethical leadership and service.

The new offerings expand opportunities for both traditional undergraduate students and working professionals, providing flexible pathways that combine technical expertise, ethical leadership, and hands-on learning.

Among the new undergraduate offerings are bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Supply Chain Management, along with new opportunities for students to tailor their education through a Sports Administration co-major, a Chemical Engineering concentration in Chemistry, a Game Development track within Computer Science, and an interdisciplinary minor in AI Literacy. Together, these programs provide students with new avenues to pursue careers in rapidly growing fields while developing the critical thinking, problem-solving, and ethical decision-making skills that define a Saint Francis education.

Recognizing the growing demand for flexible educational opportunities, Saint Francis is also expanding its online offerings through the Division of Professional Studies with four new Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) degree-completion programs. Designed for working adults who have earned technical certifications, completed workforce training, or hold associate degrees, the new BAS pathways help students translate their professional experience into bachelor's degrees and leadership opportunities.

The new online programs include B.A.S. degrees in Applied Management, Aviation Maintenance Management, Healthcare Leadership, and Information Systems Management. Each program emphasizes practical application, leadership development, and transfer-friendly pathways that recognize students' previous education and workforce experience while preparing them for advancement in their respective industries.

The University's newest academic offerings reflect several broader trends shaping today's workforce, including increased demand for engineers, technology professionals, healthcare leaders, logistics experts, and professionals who understand how artificial intelligence is transforming nearly every industry.
