FLETC Dedicates New State-of-the-Art Strength and Conditioning Complex

Glynco, Ga. -- Yesterday, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) hosted a formal Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to officially dedicate and open its new Strength and Conditioning Complex. The massive 90,000-square-foot facility is poised to revolutionize physical training, readiness, and injury prevention for federal law enforcement trainees for generations to come.

The landmark event brought together an audience of more than 150 personnel, including current FLETC staff, partner organization staff, and training instructors. Distinguished guests included partner organization leaders, former FLETC agency leaders, and representatives from congressional offices and Senate and House committee members.

"This complex will welcome approximately 2,000 students through its doors every single training day. It is a 34 million dollar, state-of-the-art complex that provides FLETC with the modern capacity our workforce and students deserve," said Director Benjamine C. Huffman." A project of this scale represents years of shared dedication. I want to extend my sincere appreciation to our congressional partners, Department of Homeland Security leadership, and our former and current FLETC staff who championed this facility. Thank you for delivering a world-class facility."

This milestone represents the culmination of more than 20 years of vision, financial planning, and operational dedication. The ceremony culminated in an official ribbon cutting executed by an "unbroken chain" of past and present leaders.
Designed to prepare law enforcement professionals for the intense physical realities of public service, the complex supports physical readiness, tactical resilience, and performance. The facility features a 1/8-mile indoor running track, expansive strength and conditioning rooms, and modern locker rooms. The facility provides a world-class training venue for instructors from FLETC's Physical Techniques Division and FLETC partner organizations to deliver practical, hands-on instruction to the next generation of law enforcement officers.

Following the ceremony, attendees visited interactive displays showcasing FLETC's diverse training directorates and partner organizations.

A component of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, FLETC's mission is to train and support the training of federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement officers and international partners that are responsible for enforcing laws, treaties, and regulations within the United States and abroad.
