Passport Office Vijayawada & Renovated PSK inaugurated (April 08, 2025)

The Regional Passport Office (RPO) Vijayawada was officially inaugurated by Minister of State for External Affairs and for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Shri Kirti Vardhan Singh (MOS-KVS), in the presence of Hon MP Sh. Kesineni Sivanath and other dignitaries. This is the second passport office in Andhra Pradesh, following Visakhapatnam.

2. The RPO Vijayawada will cater to passport applicants from 15 districts of Central, Southern Coastal, and Rayalaseema regions. Under its jurisdiction, there are two PSKs in Vijayawada and Tirupati, and 13 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) in Anantapur, Bapatla, Chittoor, Gudiwada, Guntur, Hindupur, Kurnool, Nandyala, Narasaraopet, Nellore, Ongole, Railway Kodur and YSR (Kadapa).

3. MOS(KVS) also inaugurated the renovated Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) Vijjayawada. The renovated PSK has an expanded capacity of over 1,000 applications per day, ensuring faster and more efficient service delivery.

4. The Ministry of External Affairs remains committed to providing faster, transparent, accessible, citizen-friendly, and convenient passport services through Passport Seva Project (PSP) - a high impact citizen-centric e-governance initiative as part of the National e-Governance Plan.

5. The inaugurations of RPO Vijayawada and the renovated PSK mark a significant milestone in enhancing passport services for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
