Feature Story: Discover 200 – A Bicentennial Lineup

The year 2025 is a historic milestone for Alachua County, as it marks the 200th anniversary of its founding.

To celebrate the importance, the county is hosting "Discover 200 - A Bicentennial Celebration" at 1 p.m. at Depot Park and Heartwood Soundstage. This free, daylong celebration will feature nationally recognized and local musicians, food trucks, and family-friendly activities for all ages. Various county departments and local organizations will also be on site to share information about what local services and jobs are available to residents.

Our latest feature story highlights each of the performers who will play throughout the day, including Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, Chuck Ragan, Little Jake and the Soul Searchers, Cliff Dorsey and many more.
