FORT OGLETHORPE, GA - Beginning April 27, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will resume road construction on Dyer Road within Chickamauga Battlefield. The project will provide routine road-paving maintenance to improve visitor safety and enhance the overall visitor experience. The park anticipates completing the project by late May 2026. During this construction, visitors should expect a closure of Dyer Road between LaFayette Road and Glenn-Kelly Road, as well as single-lane traffic on Dyer Road between Glenn-Kelly and Chickamauga-Vittetoe Roads. Please slow down when approaching construction equipment or workers to ensure everyone's safety. This project will not impact the official Chickamauga Battlefield tour route. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause during your visit.
