EUMAM MOZ and UNODC Conclude Train-the-Trainers Programme on the Reception and Support of Victims of Terrorism

This activity, occurred from 21 to 24 July in Maputo, brought together representatives from the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM), the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM), the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC), the National Centre for the Prevention and Combating of Terrorism and Violent Extremism (CNPCTEV), and the Ministry of Labour, Gender and Social Action of Mozambique.

The programme included several sessions delivered by EUMAM MOZ's Counterterrorism Advisor, promoting a multidisciplinary approach founded on human rights, the rule of law and inter-institutional cooperation.

More than a training activity, the programme represented an investment in the sustainability of national capacities. By preparing future trainers, it strengthens institutional ownership, enables the internal dissemination of knowledge and contributes to a coordinated, resilient and victim-centred national response to terrorism.

Through close cooperation between international partners and Mozambican institutions, EUMAM MOZ and UNODC continue to support the strengthening of national capacity to prevent and respond to terrorism while promoting institutional interoperability, human rights, the rule of law and the protection of communities.
