Entergy Texas crew springs into action after serious car accident

The crew first secured the area, blocking off a nearby intersection to reduce the risk of more accidents. Logan, Bowen and Josh helped each affected passenger out of smoking vehicles and carefully guided them to a shaded area along the roadside. Rubber protective blankets, typically used for energized live line work, were placed on the ground to provide a safe and comfortable spot for the passengers to rest.

The Entergy Texas crew remained at the scene until emergency services arrived.

"When we saw the accident, our first thought was just to make sure everyone was safe," Logan said. "We used the training we rely on every day, only this time it was to help strangers on the road rather than each other during our everyday linework."

Frank Shannon, vice president of reliability for Entergy Texas, said the crew's response is a powerful reminder of the values Entergy employees live every day.

"I'm proud of our team for their quick thinking and willingness to step in during a critical moment," Shannon said. "Their actions reflect our values of safety, community and service, both on and off the job."
