Fireboat San Rafael Rescues Disabled Vessel on San Pablo Bay

Fireboat San Rafael responded to a report of a disabled vessel observed drifting adrift on San Pablo Bay for several hours with two people onboard.

Battalion Chief Alviso coordinated with the reporting party at China Camp State Park, gathering critical information to guide Fireboat San Rafael to the vessel's location. The crew quickly located the distressed mariners and executed a successful rescue, bringing both individuals safely aboard.

Once onboard, crew members assessed both individuals for injuries and medical needs. After being cleared, the two were reunited with their anchored vessel near Rat Rock.

The swift response and coordination between BC Alviso and the Fireboat San Rafael crew ensured the safe outcome of what could have become a far more serious emergency.
