TRAFFIC ALERT: A suspected fuel leak has been reported on Highland Village Road, from Highland Shores Blvd to the I-35 frontage road. Additional reports indicate the leak may also affect Highland Shores Blvd. and some neighborhood streets. Crews are responding by deploying sand in an attempt to soak up the substance and follow up by deploying a street sweeper this afternoon to help clean up the area. An investigation of the spill continues. Due to slick road conditions, we strongly advise drivers to avoid these areas if possible.
