WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) released the following statement after voting in support of a three-bill appropriations package to fund Commerce, Justice, and Science (CJS); Energy and Water Development; and Interior and Environment for Fiscal Year 2026.
"I voted to keep the government running and get our work done on time," said Senator Ricketts. "Nebraskans want a government that works. This package stops the government from relying on short-term fixes and starts focusing on real results."
"This funding gives our police the tools they need to keep our streets safe and stop dangerous drugs like fentanyl. It will help make America more energy independent. I will keep fighting to pass the remaining budget through the regular appropriations process to provide certainty for Nebraskans," said Senator Ricketts.
