The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-95 from the I-395 interchange to Exit 82 in Waterford. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, August 9 and be completed on Friday, September 11, 2026, by Waters Construction Co. Inc. Project No. DOT01703811CN "C" consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.79-mile segment of I-95 in Waterford from I-395 to 0.06 mi. south of Exit 82, including ramps.
This project is included in CTDOT's 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 in Waterford from the I-395 interchange to just south of Exit 82. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The nighttime work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday evening to Friday morning. Work will end at 6:00 a.m. on Friday morning, September 4, and will resume at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, September 8, 2026, due to Labor Day holiday
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
