Interstate 16 - Construction of Bridge over Ocmulgee River Overflow Traffic Shift (Phase 4)
Rescheduled to May 3

WHAT: GDOT contractors will shift existing eastbound traffic on Interstate 16 to the temporary detour bridge over Ocmulgee River Overflow. This will be done on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Travelers should expect delays traveling eastbound on I-16. There are advance warning signs to notify motorists in advance of this operation. Drivers are encouraged to drive alert in the work zone and to slow their speeds around the workers and their equipment.

WHEN: Starting Saturday, May 3, 2025

WHERE: On Interstate 16, Eastbound, Mile Marker 3

ADVISORY: Dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
