The City of Hemet Economic Development Department is proud to announce the launch of the Hemet Entrepreneur & Small Business Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, a federal grant initiative designed to foster economic growth, support entrepreneurs and small business start-ups while strengthening the local economy, expanding community services, and creating new job opportunities.
The program provides grant funding of up to $20,000 per approved business to help eligible entrepreneurs establish or grow their operations within the City of Hemet. Funding may be used to support a wide range of business needs, including office equipment, office or commercial space costs, software and subscriptions, specialized equipment, and other eligible start-up expenses.

The grant application period is open from January 9, 2026, at 8:00am through February 5, 2026, at 5:30pm. Applications will be reviewed based on program eligibility requirements, proposed use of funds, and alignment with program goals.
