São Paulo, February 24, 2026 - Strava, the app for active people with over 195 million users, today announced the integration of PIX as a payment method for subscriptions in Brazil. As the platform's second-largest market, Brazil is key within Strava's global footprint. With PIX now available at checkout as a payment option on the platform, this simplifies access to the Strava subscription for users who do not use credit cards. This focus on access and local relevance guides Strava's operations in Brazil, supported by a dedicated team committed to understanding user behaviors.
This momentum is driven by the strength of the local community. According to Strava's 2025 Year in Sport Trend Report, the number of clubs in Brazil grew eightfold last year, reflecting how the platform's community features have helped transform Strava into a space for connection, belonging, and shared experiences that go beyond individual performance.
"Brazil represents one of Strava's largest and fastest-growing markets globally, distinguished by high engagement and strong community participation," said Rosana Fortes, Strava's Country Lead for Brazil. "Our strategy is to remove friction so more people can integrate sport and movement into their daily lives. Enabling PIX as a payment method is a meaningful step in localizing our subscription model and expanding access across Brazil."
For every two minutes a Strava subscriber spends on the app, they spend approximately an hour being active. A Strava subscription, available for R$ 149,90 annually or R$ 22,90 monthly, unlocks tools designed for purpose-driven training and continuous progress. The subscription experience offers deeper performance insights and even more motivation. By linking personal goals to community strength, the Strava subscription turns training into a shared experience with group challenges, ongoing encouragement, and collective achievements. Key features of the Strava subscription include:
Goals: Subscribers can set goals for all sport types directly in the Strava mobile app. Users can define targets based on distance, time, number of activities, or elevation, and select a timeframe (weekly, monthly, or annually). Power and segment goals can be set via the Strava website.
Personalized Routes and Route Planning: Automatically generates routes based on user preferences such as distance, elevation, and terrain, with options to start from a chosen location. Route Planning enables users to design fully customized routes via the mobile app or desktop platform.
Heatmaps: Global, personal, weekly, and nighttime heatmaps highlight commonly used routes, helping users discover popular and potentially safer paths.
Performance Predictions: Provides estimated finish times for distances such as 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon based on recent activity data.
Progress Comparison and Personal Best Highlights: Allows users to track performance evolution across different training periods and consolidate key personal records for easier tracking.
