Reps. Lydia Glaize, Dewey McClain to Host ‘Prostate Day at the Capitol: Saving Men’s Lives’

ATLANTA - State Representatives Lydia Glaize (D-Fairburn) and Dewey McClain (D-Lawrenceville) will host a press conference and community prostate cancer screening event to promote Prostate Day at the Capitol: Saving Men's Lives. The press conference will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 12 - 1 p.m. at the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol, followed by the community prostate cancer screening event provided by Grady Health from 1 - 3 p.m. in room 216 of the Capitol.

During the press conference, Reps. Glaize and McClain will highlight House Bill 373, legislation that would require major medical coverage for annual prostate cancer screenings for men at high risk of developing the disease. Attendees will also hear from prostate cancer survivor and advocacy leader Derrick Holloway; Angell Bray-Darden, community outreach and engagement manager with ZERO Prostate Cancer; and keynote speaker CJ Stewart, co-founder of L.E.A.D. Center for Youth.
