The MI Corn PAC, the political action committee of the Michigan Corn Growers Association, today announced its endorsement of State Senator Roger Victory in his campaign for the Michigan State University Board of Trustees.
Roger owns and operates Victory Farms, a family farm located near Hudsonville, Michigan, where he grows root vegetables, squash, and fall ornamentals. He has been a longstanding leader in Michigan agriculture, actively serving his community and holding positions in both the State House of Representatives and the State Senate.
"Strong agricultural representation on the Board of Trustees is vital for Michigan State University to fulfill its mission as a land-grant university," said Matt Smego, Senior Policy Director of the Michigan Corn Growers Association. "Roger will be a valuable addition to the Board of Trustees, bringing a crucial perspective as a farmer and business owner."
Michigan State University is the nation's pioneer land-grant institution and has played a significant role in agricultural research and extension worldwide.
The Michigan Corn Growers Association (MCGA) is the only organization in the state dedicated exclusively to advocating for Michigan's corn growers, with over 1,400 members and six county chapters.
