Public and Agency Notice for 2025 Shore Fishery Lease Applications

Public Notice

The Shore Fishery Leasing Program within the Department of Natural Resources is evaluating shore fishery lease new applications and amendment applications submitted during the 2025 application period. The public is welcome to review and comment on the proposed actions. To review the new application materials and view the associated maps, please visit the Shore Fishery Leasing Program website at: https://dnr.alaska.gov/mlw/shore/ and click on the 2025 Applications link under the Shore Fishery Index. Please follow the directions outlined at the end of this notice to submit any comments or protests. The Public Notice period begins December 29, 2025, and the deadline to submit written comments or protests is on or before February 11, 2026. Only those who submit timely written comments may appeal a decision.

This public notice includes the following lease applications within the described fishing districts:

Bristol Bay

Ugashik District

Julie Ann Ware, ADL 234683

The proposed lease is for two 150-foot nets located in Bristol Bay on the north shore of Ugashik Bay, approximately 2.8 miles west of the mouth of Dago Creek at Smokey Point, within protracted Section 10, T30S, R52W, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

William Eugene Albecker, ADL 233065 (Amendment)

The proposed lease amendment is to add one 150-foot net. The proposed net is located in Bristol Bay, in the Ugashik River at Ugashik Village, within protracted Section 9, T31S, R50W, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

Nushagak District

Amelia Christensen, ADL 230966 (Amendment)

The proposed amendment is to add one 150-foot net with a high water and low water location. The proposed net is located in Bristol Bay on the west shore of Nushagak Bay, at the mouth of the Igushik River, within protracted Section 8, T17S, R58W, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

Naknek-Kvichak District

Jaclyn Jewel Gagnon, ADL 234693

The proposed lease is for one 300-foot net located in Bristol Bay on the west shore of Kvichak Bay, approximately 1 mile southwest of Copenhagen Creek, within protracted Section 26, T15S, R48W, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

Reid C. Ten Kley, ADL 234690

The proposed lease is for one 150-foot net located in Bristol Bay on the west shore of Kvichak Bay, approximately 2 miles southwest of Telephone Point, within protracted Section 13, T15S, R47W, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

Matthew Haywood Perkins, ADL 234719

The proposed lease is for two 150-foot nets located in Bristol Bay on the west shore of Kvichak Bay, approximately 2.2 miles southwest of Copenhagen Creek, within protracted Section 34, T15S, R48W, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

Jon Norman Saarheim, ADL 234740

The proposed lease is for one 300-foot net located in Bristol Bay on the east shore of Kvichak Bay, approximately 1/2 mile south of Pederson Point, within protracted Section 26, T16S, R47W, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

Egegik District

Bo Lorentz, ADL 232553 (Amendment)

The proposed lease amendment is to lengthen one 150-foot net to 300- feet. The net is located in Bristol Bay on the south shore of the Egegik River, approximately 1 mile east-southeast of Egegik, within protracted Section 6, T23S, R49W, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

Remie Lorentz, ADL 234763 (Amendment)

The proposed lease is to move one 150-foot net approximately 137 feet east and lengthen the net to 300-feet. The net is located on the south shore of the Egegik River, approximately 1 mile east-southeast of Egegik, within protracted Section 5, T23S, R49W, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

Prince William Sound

Eshamy District

Brandon Maxwell, ADL 221932 (Amendment)

The proposed amendment is to move one 300-foot net currently located on the south shore of Main Bay to the west shore of Foul Bay, within protracted Sections 28 and 33, T6N, R8E, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

Lloyd Kompkoff, ADL 201607 (Amendment)

The proposed amendment is to move one 300-foot net currently located on the south shore of Main Bay to the west shore of Falls Bay, within protracted Sections 14 and 15, T5N, R8E, Seward Meridian, Alaska.
