Consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Turkmenistan

On 21 May 2026, Belarusian-Turkmen inter-ministerial consultations took place in Ashgabat.

The Belarusian delegation was led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pavel Utyupin, and the Turkmen delegation by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Akhmet Gurbanov.

The participants discussed the state of and prospects for the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, including preparations for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Turkmen Commission on Economic Cooperation, as well as cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries, including within the framework of international organisations.

Pavel Utyupin also met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Raşit Meredow.

The parties discussed issues of further cooperation in international arenas and promising areas for joint work in trade, economy and transport.
