Lowering of the County Flag: Dwight Miller

This is to advise that Commissioner President Reuben B. Collins, II, Esq. ordered the Charles County flag to be lowered to half-staff effective immediately and returned to full staff at sunset on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, to honor Retired Captain Dwight Miller #79 of the Charles County Sheriff Department.

On Friday, September 26, 2025, while at the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Bowie, Maryland, Dwight Miller of Pomfret, Maryland quietly entered eternal rest.

He is survived by the love of his life, Paulette Bowman, daughters, Veronica Miller and Tunisha Jones (Marvin), grandchildren, Amethyst White, Aniya and Jada Montgomery and a host of other relatives and friends.
