Manufacturers, persons who assemble systems and procedure packs and authorised representatives now have extended functions for registering devices in swissdamed.
Thanks to a user-friendly online editor and a M2M interface, the registration process in the UDI Devices module is simpler, faster and better adapted to different user needs.
The registration of contact lenses that require a Master UDI-DI is now also supported.
Online editor: manual data entry
The new online editor provides an uncomplicated and intuitive option for entering devices, systems and procedure packs directly in the system.
Users are guided step by step through all required input fields, without the need for specific technical expertise.

M2M interface: Automated data transfer
An M2M interface is now available.
This option enables the automated transfer of device data in JSON format directly to swissdamed via a REST API.

Greater flexibility of registration
With the introduction of the online editor and the M2M interface, two complementary registration options are available in swissdamed: simple manual data entry and automated data exchange for larger volumes.
Master UDI-DI registration:
Highly individualised products requiring a Master UDI-DI can now be registered in swissdamed.
