City of Santa Ana transitions River View Golf Course to new operator beginning May 1

The City of Santa Ana has taken the first step to reimagine River View Golf Course with a goal of creating new recreational opportunities for Santa Ana residents, community programming and long-term investments in this regional golfing destination.

Beginning on Friday, May 1, 2026, the City of Santa Ana will officially transition operations of River View Golf Course to its new management partner, CourseCo.

Approved by the City Council on March 3, 2026, the new professional management agreement allows the City to retain ownership of the course while increasing oversight of operations, programming, capital improvements, and long-term planning.

The transition marks a new chapter for River View Golf Course, a community asset that has served residents for more than 60 years. The new management structure is designed to support long-term financial sustainability while enhancing the overall golf experience and expanding recreational opportunities.

Golfers can expect a seamless transition with continued access to the course and services they are familiar with. Over the coming months, CourseCo will work with City staff to evaluate operations and develop a long-term improvement and reinvestment plan.

River View Golf Course will continue to serve the community as a welcoming and accessible recreational destination for years to come.
