"Launched back in 1969, this competition has acquired a truly legendary status as one of the oldest, most important and spectacular highlights on the international cultural scene. Our country has always been famous for its rich choreographic traditions and has every right to be proud of them today. This is why talented dancers from many countries nurture ambitious and daring dreams of connecting with the great history of Russian ballet by performing at the Bolshoi Theatre. Of course, taking part in this prestigious competition is a great opportunity for young dancers to get into the spotlight and receive support from experienced teachers and mentors, while also discovering our capital and its landmarks.

I am convinced that this anniversary competition will take place in an atmosphere of creativity and mutual understanding and will help us discover new talent as a celebration of beauty for all those who appreciate it."
