CFA Joins Letter Expressing Concerns Over Discussion Draft of Earned Wage Access Consumer Protection Act

On February 24th, CFA joined seven other consumer advocacy and civil rights organizations in sending the following letter to Republican and Democratic leaders on the House Financial Services Committee. The letter expresses concerns about the discussion draft of the Earned Wage Access Consumer Protection Act. The letter outlines eight requirements that must be met to ensure fintech lenders cannot drain workers' paychecks. At a time when millions of American households are struggling to make ends meet, this letter clarifies that allowing fintech lenders to siphon hard-earned funds from workers' pay is simply unacceptable.
