AltaMed Health Services Opens New Clinic in Pico Rivera to Expand Access to Care in the Region
PICO RIVERA, Calif. (August 4, 2026) - To increase access to care, AltaMed Health Services, the nation's largest independent federally qualified community health center, has opened a new primary care clinic in Pico Rivera at 9406 Washington Blvd.
Designed to be a one-stop shop for care, the new 25,000 square foot health center has 41 patient exam rooms and the capacity to treat a large volume of patients each day. Services offered at this location will include primary care, pediatrics, specialty care, OB/GYN, maternal-fetal medicine for high-risk pregnancies, mobile dental services, imaging, ultrasound, lab services, pharmacy, and other essential services.
"Despite the cuts in funding for community health centers, AltaMed's commitment and mission to eliminate health disparities remains stronger than ever," said Cástulo de la Rocha, President and CEO of AltaMed Health Services. "Residents of Pico Rivera and its surrounding communities will be able to access comprehensive high-quality health services for the entire family in one convenient location."
According to the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County, community health centers serve more than two million patients per year, 74% of whom have low incomes.
AltaMed provides care to more than 650,000 people across Los Angeles and Oranges counties across 67 sites.
