FREE Citizens Police Academy to begin June 3

Azle Police Department will host a FREE Citizen's Police Academy June 3 - August 5, 2025, on Tuesday nights from 6- 9 PM at Azle Police Department. Topics covered include patrol operations, criminal investigations, dispatch, specialized units, and volunteer opportunities. Students, on a voluntary basis, will have the opportunity to be scheduled for a four-hour ride along with a patrol officer and participate in a familiarization course in the use and safety of firearms.

The Academy is open to individuals age 21 and older who reside or work in the city. Pre-registration is required and a basic background check will be conducted. Completed applications should be returned by May 23, 2025 to Sgt Patrick Bovea at the Azle Police Department.
