TRAFFIC ALERT - Kent County - Kenton Road - Phase 3B Traffic Shift
Kenton Road - ; Phase 3B Traffic Shift
Dover - The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) advises motorists that as part of the ongoing Kenton Road improvement project, Phase 3B is scheduled to be implemented on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, weather permitting.
During Phase 3B, Kenton Road will operate with a single lane of traffic in each direction (northbound and southbound).
Motorists should also expect shoulder closures and temporary lane closures in the area. The next significant traffic impact is expected in summer 2026, when a full closure of Kenton Road between Turnberry Drive and Mapledale Road will be required. Additional details will be provided as that date approaches.
Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and expect minor delays.
