Curbside Garbage, Recycling and Out of Cart Collection Resumes

BATON ROUGE, LA - January 22, 2025 - Curbside garbage, recycling and out-of-cart services will resume on Thursday, January 23, but with a late start in an effort to limit travel in the early morning hours. Drivers will make every effort to provide service on Thursday, but safety is paramount. If an area can't be serviced due to icy roads or time limitations, then that area will be serviced on its next regularly scheduled collection day.

In addition, the North Landfill and the Starwood Court Collection Facility will not open until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday morning. All curbside solid waste collection services along with the North Landfill and Starwood Court Collection Facility will return to normal operating hours on Friday, January 24.
