SCO Secretary-General Meets with the Vice Minister of Health of Kazakhstan
On April 27, 2025, in Xi'an (PRC), a meeting took place between the SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev and the Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Muratov.
During the conversation, current issues concerning the development of cooperation in the field of healthcare within the framework of the Organization were discussed.
The parties considered key areas of joint work, underlining the importance of exchanging experience and coordinating efforts to respond to modern challenges in public health.
The Secretary-General expressed his gratitude to the Kazakhstan for its active position and proactive approach demonstrated during Kazakhstan's chairmanship of the SCO, noting the significance of the adopted Plan of Key Measures for the Development of Cooperation in the Field of Healthcare for 2025-2027.
The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further developing interaction and strengthening the practical orientation of ties in the relevant field, including digital medicine, personnel training, and coordination of efforts at the international level.
