Construction of Roundabout on SR 74 @ SR 42

WHAT: GDOT contractors will realign and place traffic into the 'Dog Bone'-shaped roundabout configuration at the intersection of SR 74 and SR 42. The roadway will be striped in final alignment into the Dog Bone Roundabout. Expect delays while traveling through the project site on Thursday, August 27, 2026, during the traffic realignment operation.

Motorists should expect possible delays while traveling through the work zone as the final stage of construction activities will continue on this project. Drivers are encouraged to use caution, pay attention to signs, and allow extra time when traveling through the area. There are warning signs to notify motorists in advance of this operation.

WHEN: Starting Thursday morning, August 27, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.

WHERE: Intersection of SR 74 @ SR 42 in Dyas, GA (Monroe County)
