Leveraging the Power of the Network to Boost Impact

In 2025, CSR Europe launches a series of activities for National Partner Organizations (NPOs), a diverse range of exclusive initiatives designed to support NPOs in driving sustainability and compliance across industries.

These activities will provide valuable opportunities for NPOs to collaborate, share best practices, and engage in targeted discussions on emerging sustainability challenges.

Through dedicated Community of Practice, Impactful EU Regulations Series, and networking events, CSR Europe will empower NPOs to strengthen their impact, enhance collaboration with corporate members, and shape the future of sustainable business practices across Europe.

Pillar I: Learning & Implementing

COMMUNITy OF PRACTICE ON SUSTAINABILITY

The NPO Community of Practice (CoP) on sustainability serves as a dynamic platform for CSR Europe's National Partner Organisations to share their approaches to driving sustainability compliance and impact with their corporate members.

Based on the top three sustainability priorities identified at the NPO Kick-Off meeting on 30th January, CSR Europe will facilitate three dedicated virtual roundtables to address common challenges, discuss current strategies and their limitations, and explore innovative solutions that promote long-term environmental, social, and economic progress.

Pillar II: Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration

2025 kick-off meeting

On January 30, NPOs are invited to join the launch of CSR Europe's 2025 Activity Programme.

This online session will provide an overview of the upcoming activities that CSR Europe National Partner Organisations members can engage in to foster:

• Sustainability Best Practice Learning & Sharing (Foundation)

• Multi-stakeholder Collaboration (Scale-up Impact)

• EU Policy Dialogue (System Change)

At the event, each NPO will be invited to share its top 3 sustainability priorities for the year.

Pillar III: EU Policy Dialogue Activities

ANNUAL PUBLIC AFFAIRS & CSO MEETING

On March 4, NPOs Executive Directors and CEO are invited to join the Annual Public Affairs and CSO Meeting in Brussels. The meeting will provide participants with the opportunity to:

• Learn about the new political direction and action plan for 2024-2029, focused on a sustainable, competitive, and resilient Europe.

• Shape CSR Europe's positioning as a key partner for the renewed EU institutions, leveraging on-the-ground insights and solutions from CSR Europe's members and the European CSO Network associated members.

Building on the European CSO Network's first Discussion Paper and the outcomes of the first meeting with the European Commission, the event will serve as a foundation to further develop and prioritize practical solutions to:

1. Make EU sustainability regulations and their implementation more workable in light of the upcoming Omnibus simplification package.

2. Effectively link sustainability and competitiveness, aligning with European policies such as clean industry, circularity, trade, taxation, and public procurement.

Impactful EU Regulations Series

The "Impactful EU Regulations" series aims to address critical challenges and opportunities arising from the implementation of key European sustainability directives: the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), and the Empowering Consumers Directive. As these measures reshape the landscape of corporate sustainability and responsibility, the series empowers National sustainability networks to share insights, best practices, and strategies to drive effective implementation. The series also explores the priorities of the upcoming Polish and Danish presidencies of the European Council and their impact on the EU's sustainability agenda.

By providing a structured environment for dialogue and mutual learning, the roundtables aim to:

• Facilitate the exchange of experiences, challenges, and solutions related to CSRD, CSDDD, and the Green Claims Directive implementation.

• Build capacity among NPOs to support businesses in aligning with these regulations.

• Foster a unified voice for advocacy, ensuring that National approaches inform European policymaking and implementation.

The insights gained will contribute to shaping and enriching the policy dialogue efforts of the European Chief Sustainability Officers (CSO) Network.

THE EUROPEAN SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRY SUMMIT 2025

Save the date! On 24-25 June 2025, CSR Europe will host the European Sustainability Industry Summit - Building Sustainable and Competitive Markets in Brussels.

At the event, CSR Europe will also host one of the three NPO Community of Practice meetings. The workshop, taking place exclusively in-person aims at fostering knowledge sharing and learning on one of the key sustainability topics that emerged from the kick-off.
