Nighttime closure planned March 26 on SH-55 in Caldwell
CALDWELL - The Idaho Transportation Department will close State Highway 55 between 10th Avenue and Montana Avenue on Wednesday, March 26, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The closure is necessary for crews to install a pressure irrigation line as part of ongoing construction to widen the highway.
Motorists are encouraged to check 511.idaho.gov, plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
This project will improve safety and capacity by widening SH-55 to four lanes with dedicated left and right turn lanes at major intersections. Construction is expected to be completed in 2028.
