The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Georgia, Mahmoud Adib.

During the meeting, President Mikheil Kavelashvili expressed his gratitude to the diplomat for his contribution to strengthening relations based on mutual respect between the two countries with a long-standing history, as well as for Iran's firm and unwavering support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The President wished Mahmoud Adib success in his future diplomatic endeavors and expressed confidence that, with the active engagement of the new ambassador, Georgian-Iranian relations will continue to develop dynamically.

The meeting was held at the Presidential Palace.
