Chosen through a competitive selection process, the faculty cohort will engage in a series of workshops, lectures and collaborative planning activities focused on Mozambique and global economic development. The initiative intends to strengthen faculty capacity to design and lead global learning experiences while integrating international perspectives into Boise State's curriculum.
As part of the program, the cohort will travel to Mozambique from May 22 to June 6 for an academic immersion. The visit will include site visits, academic briefings, language instruction, and meetings with partner institutions, including Eduardo Mondlane University.
The cohort will use their insights from the visit to develop new coursework and launch Boise State's first Global Classroom in sub-Saharan Africa, anticipated for spring 2028.
