Westbound Loop 202 Closures Scheduled This Weekend

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers of the following closures scheduled for work on the Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) widening project:

Westbound Loop 202 will be closed between Gilbert Road and Arizona Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31.

  • The westbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Lindsay Road, Val Vista Drive and Santan Village Parkway also will be closed.
  • The westbound frontage road between Lindsay and Gilbert roads also will be closed.
  • DETOUR: Drivers may consider using westbound Pecos or Germann roads to connect with Loop 202 at Arizona Avenue or Alma School Road.

Please help us promote highway safety. Speed limits are reduced to 55 mph in work zones for the safety of drivers and workers. Slow down, stay alert and be prepared to merge with caution when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
