Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Homer Electric Association, Inc. (HEA), filed TA490-32, proposing revisions to its service extension rules, Design and Engineering (D&E) Fee, Secondary Service Credits (SSC), and Secondary Service Fee (SSF). HEA has requested an effective date of September 7, 2026.
HEA's SSC is the maximum amount of money that HEA will invest in a new line extension, and the SSF is the cost charged for a secondary service extension. HEA proposes an increase to the D&E Fee from $500 to $1,000. Additionally, HEA proposes to alter the calculation of the SSC for Single-Phase Service, removing the D&E Fee from the average cost to design and install secondary service extensions. This decreases the currently approved SSF and SSC for Single-Phase Service from $6,800 to $5,800 and the SSC for Three-Phase Service from $20,400 to $17,400. HEA also proposes revisions to the requirements for SSC site eligibility and alters the time limit for Construction Power Service.
This notice may not contain all requested revisions, and the Commission may approve a rate or classification which varies from those proposed.
