Position Summary

The Maintenance staff is responsible for performing general cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the premises. This includes food preparation, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining restrooms, kitchens, offices, common areas, and other designated spaces. The role ensures that the environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for employees, guests, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces in all assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, light switches, and railings.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners; dispose of waste in the appropriate manner.
• Wipe down furniture, fixtures, and appliances in offices and common areas.
• Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors as required.
• Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks as directed (e.g., carpet cleaning, floor waxing, upholstery cleaning).
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the facilities manager or appropriate department.
• Respond to cleaning requests from staff or management in a professional and timely manner.

Essential duties and responsibilities are those most important or most frequently performed duties. Employees will be required to perform other job-related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools
• High school degree
• Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery (e.g., vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers) and safely handle chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
