The Iowa City Historic Preservation Commission and the Friends of Historic Preservation Iowa City will host an annual awards event at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the Iowa City Public Library's Meeting Room A.
Light refreshments will be served starting at 5:30 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 6 p.m.
The Historic Preservation Recognition Program is held annually to acknowledge property owners, consultants, contractors, craftspersons, and community organizations for their preservation efforts and completion of historically appropriate projects.
Residential and commercial properties will be recognized in several award categories: Paint and Exterior Finishes, Rehabilitation, and Additions and New Construction.
