Lane Closure on I-79 Southbound, Mile Marker 139, Junior Slaughter Bridge, to Begin Tuesday, March 10, 2026

Triton Construction will be performing rolling roadblocks on Interstate 79, at the Junior Slaughter Bridge, from 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2026, through 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2026, to set steel girders on the southbound abutment. Law enforcement and traffic directors will assist the contractor in these operations. Lane closures are not expected, but traffic may experience delays.

Alternate routes include: Exit 139, Prickett's Fort, to WV 73.

Expect delays. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow additional time for their commute. Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
