SCAM ALERT - FRAUDULENT TEXT MESSAGE REGARDING UNPAID TOLLS

City of Billings - Parking Division

The City of Billings is warning residents about a scam text message falsely claiming that you owe unpaid tolls and may face DMV suspension, legal action, or credit damage.

• Montana does NOT have toll roads.

• The City of Billings Parking Division does NOT communicate by text message.

• The phone number sending the message is not from the U.S.

• The web link provided (mt.gov-pfx.win) is not a legitimate government site.

• The message contains errors such as "May 17st," which indicate it is a scam.

The Montana Department of Justice is aware of the situation and is working on resolving the issue.

Please remain alert and do not engage with or respond to suspicious messages.
