WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Geisinger Health Foundation has been awarded a $40,000 grant from the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP) to fund upgrades to Geisinger's Life Flight® equipment serving the Williamsport area and surrounding communities.
The funding will support the purchase of updated, advanced medical and safety equipment for Life Flight's critical care transport operations which will enhance the life-saving capabilities of the program and make sure patients in north-central Pennsylvania continue to receive the highest level of emergency air transport care.
"For more than 40 years, Life Flight has been a trusted and vital resource for our communities," said Nancy Lawton-Kluck, chief philanthropy officer at Geisinger. "This generous support from the First Community Foundation Partnership strengthens our ability to respond quickly and safely when every second counts."
Geisinger Life Flight responds to more than 3,000 emergencies each year, providing rapid transport and advanced critical care for trauma, cardiac, stroke, and pediatric patients across Pennsylvania and beyond. Upgraded technology and equipment help crews maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence and operational reliability.
This grant underscores FCFP's continued commitment to improving regional health and safety through strategic philanthropy. Together, Geisinger and FCFP are helping ensure that essential emergency resources remain strong and ready for the future.
