State Route 4 & Interstate 5 - Additional Ramp Closures
Overnight Ramp Closures From Charter Way To Crosstown Freeway In Stockton

San Joaquin County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 4 (SR-4)/Crosstown Freeway and Interstate 5 (I-5) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, full connector ramp closures eastbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway to southbound I-5 for bridge work beginning Sunday, September 7, through Friday, September 12, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full connector ramp closures westbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway to southbound I-5 for bridge work beginning Sunday, September 7, through Friday, September 12, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full connector ramp closures from northbound I-5 to westbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway for bridge work beginning Sunday, September 7, through Friday, September 12, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full connector ramp closures from northbound I-5 to eastbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway for bridge work beginning Sunday, September 7, through Friday, September 12, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full on-ramp closures from SR-4/Charter Way to northbound I-5 for bridge work beginning Sunday, September 7, through Friday, September 12, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full off-ramp closures from southbound I-5 at SR-4/Charter Way for bridge work beginning Sunday, September 7, through Friday, September 12, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
