BOLTON, MS - Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (MS-02) announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded more than $1.6 million to Mississippi organizations to strengthen children's mental health services and expand behavioral health initiatives across the state. The grant awards include:
$710,256 for the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children with Serious Emotional Disturbances (SED) program.
$641,713 for the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children with Serious Emotional Disturbances (SED) program.
$315,783 for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Projects of Regional and National Significance. The funding is provided through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to support evidence-based behavioral health services, improve access to care, and strengthen community-based mental health programs for children and families. |
