LOCAL NEWS | WJE Mourns the Loss of Jim Salter

Jim Salter, a business development professional in our Houston office, passed away on July 2 after a battle with cancer.

Mr. Salter joined WJE in 2023 with more than twenty years of experience developing forensic engineering business in the oil and gas industry. Collaborating closely with our metallurgical engineering and civil infrastructure practice groups, he spearheaded efforts to introduce the full range of WJE's structural and materials services to refineries, petrochemical plants, and infrastructure clients, including port authorities on the east and west coasts.

"Jim was a go-getter who was passionate about his work and jumped into WJE with both feet," said WJE President and CEO William Nugent. "He will be greatly missed by all who had the good fortune to know him."

He is survived by his wife, Brenda, and daughters Larisa and Krista. A visitation and memorial service are planned for 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, on Saturday, July 12, at Memorial Church of Christ in Houston, Texas.
