Portions of Dubuque Pet Park to Close for Tree Work

Sections of the Dubuque Pet Park, located on N. Grandview Ave. near Bunker Hill Golf Course, will be closed beginning Wednesday, Dec. 17, to allow crews to perform tree maintenance. The closures are expected to last through Tuesday, Dec. 23.

Beginning on Wednesday, Dec. 17, the northern section of the park, which is intended for bigger dogs will be closed. That section of the park will likely also be closed on Thursday, Dec. 18.

The closure will shift to the southern section of the park, which is intended for smaller dogs, on Monday, Dec. 22, and is expected to continue through Tuesday, Dec. 23.

The closures are being put in place to allow City forestry crews to perform maintenance along the fence that separates the western edge of the Pet Park from Bunker Hill Golf Course. Trees, vegetation, and downed logs will be removed to clear a path along the fence.

Questions regarding these closures can be directed to the City of Dubuque Parks and Recreation Department by emailing [email protected] or by calling 563.589.4263.
